Caleb Uncertain
Caleb is a Hebrew name meaning uncertain, said kaw-labe'. One of two spies who said Israel could take the land, and who asked for the hill country at eighty-five.
Where the name comes from
כָּלֵב Kâlêb — Caleb, the name of three Israelites. Strong's H3612 derives it: perhaps a form of H3611 (כֶּלֶב), or else from the same root in the sense of forcible.
