What Galatians 5:22-23 means
Fruit is singular here — one fruit, nine parts to it. Fruit grows, which is Paul's whole argument against trying to manufacture godliness by effort. You don't get to pick the three you like. They come in together, from the same Spirit.

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

In the latter part of this chapter the apostle comes to exhort these Christians to serious practical godliness, as the best antidote against the snares of the false teachers. Two things especially he presses upon them: - I. That they should not strive with one another, but love one another.
