What Proverbs 3:9-10 means
Firstfruits means it comes off the top, before anything else is settled, and that's what makes it honour rather than leftovers. The barns and the presses in the next line are farm language for enough. Solomon puts the giving first and the filling second, in that order.

11My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
12For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
