What Psalm 121:1-2 means
The hills aren't the help. The psalmist looks up at them and then answers his own question: my help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. This is a song for people on the road to Jerusalem, watching the high country where trouble usually came from. They looked past it.

This psalm teaches us, I. To stay ourselves upon God as a God of power and a God all-sufficient for us. David did so and found the benefit of it. 1.
