Ephesians 6:1 KJV
Ephesians · chapter 6 · verse 1
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.Ephesians 6:1 · King James Version
What Ephesians 6:1 means
Paul addresses the children directly, which was unusual; he assumed they were in the room when the letter was read aloud. In the Lord sets the boundary, and for this is right gives the reason without softening it. The instruction to fathers follows three verses later.
