Habakkuk 3:19 KJV
Habakkuk · chapter 3 · verse 19
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.Habakkuk 3:19 · King James Version
What Habakkuk 3:19 means
Hinds' feet are for steep ground; a deer doesn't need level footing. Habakkuk writes this at the end of a book spent arguing with God about violence, right after saying the fig tree won't blossom and the fields will yield nothing. The high places come with the famine, not instead of it.

Habakkuk 3:19 in context
17Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Within the compass of these few lines we have the prophet in the highest degree both of trembling and triumphing, such are the varieties both of the state and of the spirit of God's people in this world. In heaven there shall be no more trembling, but everlasting triumphs. I.
