What Psalm 4:8 means
Sleep is the test of whether you believe it, since you can't guard yourself while you're asleep. David writes this with enemies in view earlier in the psalm. Only is the word that carries it: thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety, so the peace isn't shared credit.
