Ezekiel 36:26 KJV

Ezekiel · chapter 36 · verse 26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.Ezekiel 36:26 · King James Version

What Ezekiel 36:26 means

Every verb here belongs to God — I will give, I will put, I will take away. The people promised this were in exile for what their own hearts had done. A stony heart cannot repair itself, which is why what is offered is replacement rather than repair.

28And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
