Psalm 51:10 KJV
Psalms · chapter 51 · verse 10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.Psalm 51:10 · King James Version
What Psalm 51:10 means
Create is the word Genesis uses for making something out of nothing. David isn't asking for a cleanup after Bathsheba and Uriah. He is asking for a heart he doesn't have and can't produce. Renew a right spirit admits the same thing twice: the work has to come from outside him.
